Santa Pod FireForce 3 Jet Car, a dragster built around a massive jet engine and considered to be one of the fastest cars in the world. The FireForce 3 Jet Car, based on a Chevrolet Lumina body, is kitted out with the Santa Pod Raceway livery and has made its debut at the Flame & Thunder event at Santa Pod Raceway back in 2004 and since then has appeared at many international events. This mechanical monster of a machine develops thrust in the jet engine equivalent to more than 10,000hp and can destroy the quarter-mile in 5 seconds with a terminal speed in excess of 300mph. The world record was broken at the Easter Thunderball event 2005, with Martin Hill pushing the car to its limits and clocking a terminal speed of 336mph in 5.793 seconds.
The main event of the evening had the crowd roaring their support for the popular Maltese fighter. Zahra, fighting out of the red corner who looked confident and wasted no time in taking the fight to his Portuguese opponent De Oliveira. By round two the superiority of Zahra was evident and De Oliveira often had a surprised look on his face as Zahra displaying combinations of kicks and punches which often found there mark, to his merit De Oliveira remained calm and was never flustered even after Zahra drew blood in the third round. De Oliveira had his moments but Zahra never allowed him to settle in. The Portuguese fighter showing true sporting spirit lifted Zahra's hand in victory even before the judges had issued their majority decision. A well deserved victory for Daniel "The Jet" Zahra....
